Brooke Schetgen is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland as well as a National Board Certified Counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and after obtaining her degree she moved to Germany with her husband, who was active duty in the Air Force. Upon returning to the States she began her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Capella University where she graduated with distinction. Brooke specializes in working with post-traumatic stress disorder, military veterans and their family members, depression, anxiety, disordered eating, geriatrics, and substance abuse. As a former Air Force spouse with experience living overseas, she has an understanding of the military lifestyle and the unique needs of military and government families. She has experience in the field of counseling working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and groups. Brooke also is trained as a Smart Recovery Facilitator and in the past has facilitated multiple Smart meetings. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
