My role as your counselor will be to help you to learn the necessary skills to be able to meet life’s challenges on your own. I primarily use techniques that pull from Cognitive-Behavioral and Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapies (CBT and REBT), as well as mindfulness and motivational interviewing, tailoring them as necessary to help you deal with your specific issues. My experience has primarily been in outpatient substance abuse treatment centers, and as part of that I have worked with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, and trauma. I work primarily with adults and adolescents. In addition, I also have experience with individuals who identify as transgender, as well as others who are LGBTQ+. Life’s challenges can be opportunities for us to grow and learn and become the best possible versions of ourselves.
