Marielle McIntyre is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Maryland. She graduated from Marywood University School of Social Work. She has experience working with clients of all ages. Marielle’s clinical approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a person-centered approach that focuses on solutions as well as the individuals’ strengths. Marielle is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which she used during her tenure as a clinician at the Mann Residential Treatment Center (RTC) within the Sheppard Pratt Health System. While at Mann RTC, Marielle provided intensive long-term individual, family, and group treatment to adolescents and their families. Diagnoses treated included and are not limited to Acute and Chronic Depression, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety and Attachment Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders.
Marielle is an empathic individual who tailors her approach with each client to best meet his or her own unique needs. Marielle’s experience creates a safe environment to encourage the client to accept themselves where they currently are while working towards change.
