Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Adult
Congruent is different from most “addiction treatment programs”. In addition to supporting and drawing from 12 step recovery, we also introduce Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and we address both mental health and addictions (SUD). We believe in addressing how a person’s substance use affects the family, work, and life style. We seek to address the whole person.
Our IOP Programs are nationally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) and Licensed by the State of Maryland.
Our Approach
Both CBT and DBT have been shown to provide long term benefit and change for SUD, Depression, Anxiety, and other mental health concerns. Don’t just address one aspect of your recovery — find a healthy life style in order to live your recovery.
Congruent Counseling offers programs for adults with Substance Use Disorder and/or dual diagnosis. We offer the opportunity to focus on mental health and family needs while clients get “clean” and learn new life styles without the use of substances. Programs are offered in Columbia, Millersville, and Eldersburg. In Columbia, our program is primarily for clients over age 27. Sometimes, it is helpful to be in a group of people who not only understand addiction, but also to be among peers who have experienced much of life.
Our Program
Traditional treatment often does not address mental health or family concerns so our program addresses both mental health and substance use issues, utilizing group therapy, psychoeducation, individual therapy, family group sessions, and family counseling. We seek to address multiple issues at once — a whole-person approach.
Treatment
This is a structured treatment program, licensed by the State of Maryland. Clients may see an individual or family therapist while attending the IOP.
Integrative Counseling
Integrative Counseling offers group, individual, and family treatment for Substance Abuse. We are Maryland Licensed to offer Outpatient Treatment, Relapse Prevention Programs, and DWI/DUI education to address legal concerns following a DUI/DWI arrest.
We address substance use and dependence problems, legal issues, and DUI/DWI concerns. We work closely with probation officers and lawyers to help you manage your concerns while you are getting healthy.
