Becky Soper

Hi, I’m Becky! I’m a licensed graduate professional counselor (LGPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a certificate in Trauma, Crisis, Grief, and Loss from Hood College. I am also a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200) with specialized training in trauma-sensitive yoga and meditation. Prior to transitioning into the counseling field, I spent nearly two decades working as a change management consultant for the federal government.

My practice centers on supporting individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, and relationship issues. I have a particular passion for working with leaders and high-achievers, intimately understanding the quiet pressure of performance and the courage it takes to pause and look inward.

I practice from a warm, relational foundation, meaning our therapeutic partnership sits at the heart of your healing process. Rooted in attachment theory, my approach integrates family systems, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Because insight is most powerful when it is genuinely felt, I may incorporate experiential tools — such as visual mapping and symbolic exploration — to move beyond the analytical mind to help you process emotions safely in real time.

My clients describe me as warm, attentive, genuine, and direct, with a healthy dose of humor. In my personal time, I can be found watercolor painting, accumulating Splat Points, practicing yoga, or spoiling my senior cat, Shasta. Most importantly, I strive to create a collaborative, LGBTQ+ affirming, and nonjudgmental space where your whole self is always welcome.
