Lysa is a Board-Certified Therapist. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Family Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park, and her master’s degree in Counseling from Bowie State University. Lysa’s background in mental health spans over a decade and includes the juvenile detention center, out-patient mental health clinics, residential programs and patients within the substance abuse population. Lysa has experience treating children, adults, and couples with depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder and attention deficit hyper-activity disorder. Additionally, she is dual-certified as a child and adult Trauma Therapist.

Lysa’s passion is to guide patients through the therapeutic process via Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral treatment modalities. Her goal is to create a safe, tranquil atmosphere that is free of judgment.
