Amanda also has experience working with a variety of other topics such as depression, eating disorders, substance use, and more. While Amanda has training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches, she believes in taking a collaborative approach. This means she often borrows knowledge from these approaches, as well as her client’s unique life experiences, to create a space for individuals to observe, plan, and grow in meaningful ways.
Amanda has worked in a variety of settings in the past including state agencies, hospitals, and residential treatment centers. Informed by these experiences, she strongly believes in taking a collaborative approach with all of her clients. Therapy is not a directive series of tasks but rather a journey that we take together. Amanda currently sees individual adults and older adolescents at the Millersville location.
